Capturing new baby memories, a little differently | Lehigh Valley Newborn & Family Photographer | Allentown Newborn Photographer

When COVID-19 Hijacked businesses everywhere earlier this year, I found myself with a backlog of 26 portrait sessions to ‘make up’ - many of these were newborn sessions. It was brand new navigation for all of us; different boats, same storm.

As a Lehigh Valley Newborn photographer, I do a LOT of In Home Lifestyle Newborn sessions & Posed Studio Newborn sessions. When Pennsylvania first opened back up for business in June, I could not legally capture these sessions the same way. Some mamas, in disappointment, decided to choose to skip their newborn session and use their session credit at another time - while other mamas embraced the fact they wanted to capture and celebrate their new baby - even if their new baby was already 8 weeks old. This made my heart super happy!

And so, I offered to do “outdoor” newborn portraits (socially distanced)- where the focus was on the love between family, while also celebrating their brand new baby. While not a traditional newborn session, we still were able to celebrate their new baby and capture them while still so new and teeny.

It just so happened that my first outdoor newborn session in June was on the most perfect evening, with the glowiest,perfect sun. Baby’s big sister loves her brother so much; her love is so apparent in the photos! Mom and Dad are so proud of their beautiful new family. We walked around my favorite farm and had fun playing while keeping the attention on adorable brand new brother.
